The final home of famed Civil War General and two-term US President Ulysses S. Grant. Situated atop picturesque Mt. McGregor in the foothills of the Adirondacks, the cottage was used by the ailing Grant, and his family, as he finished his memoirs and died there in 1885. The Historic Site features a visitor center, guided tours of the cottage, and an expansive overlook. Open seasonally May-Oct.
