This Dutch stone house at Kingston, New York’s Four Corners was built in the mid-1600s by the Jansen family. After it was burned in the Burning of Kingston, it was rebuilt in 1796 with a small portion of the previous house incorporated. Throughout the house’s existence, it became known as the “House of doctors,” due to the several doctors who lived and practiced here. Later in its life, it was the Old Colony Coffee House, a print shop, and music studio, but today is a private residence.
