It’s rumored that this historic house in Newburgh, New York was originally built for a member of the prominent Astor family, but the home came to bear the name of a later owner, L.B. Kidd, a Broadway hat designer. In January 2018, a fire destroyed a significant portion of the house and the home has been in ruins ever since.
