This grand 19th century hotel and historic site in Saratoga Springs, New York opened in the heart of Saratoga’s downtown in 1877. Before horse racing and casinos came to define the region’s tourism, vacationers would flock to Saratoga for its natural springs. The hotel became a hub of Saratoga society, hosting prominent politicians, entertainers, and many influential people of the day. In 2012, it closed and underwent a $24 million renovation that aimed to update and redesign the building while also staying true to its historic character.
