Our Story

Washington's headquarters tower of victory

Empire Explorer was begun in late 2017 by Seth Colegrove.

Seth, a Newburgh, NY native, had long adored the beauty and historical significance of the Hudson Valley region, but moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film scoring. After several years of working in the film industry, Seth decided it was time to move his career back to the land that inspired him the most.

Trading Hollywood for the Hudson Valley, he launched Empire Explorer in an effort to use his filmmaking and media skills to tell the stories of New York State.

Since then, Empire Explorer has amassed a huge community of people interested in seeing the sights, learning the stories, and exploring this great Empire State.
